This is a bit of a mixed bag, as a product. If you have a buildup of snow, the design will save you time, but there are complications. Assembly is relatively fast, although long-term stability is always a question when you add parts. Leave that aside. The idea is that you have a wheeled shovel piece which you push, at an angle, saving time and labor. You are not lifting, which is good, and for a range of buildup, that works. Too much and it will overflow the scooper. Too little and the complications will outweigh the potential labor saving. When you pick up the contraption, the scoop just flops about, and you wind up doing a little dance to maneuver an unwieldy tool to place the admittedly light contraption where you need it. Fortunately, it is light, but that maneuvering dance is something you miss if you just look at the design and think about pushing the snow with the scooper on wheels. With little enough snow, you can push just as easily with a regular shovel, which requires no maneuvering dance. That said, if you get 4 inches or so, this saves time and labor. I’d rather use a snow blower, though, which saves even more labor. This is cheaper, sure, but you can get a cheap and decent snow blower that takes very little manual labor to operate and clears snow in that range quite simply. So, call this a mixed rating. It’s comparatively cheap, and saves time in some range, but unwieldy, and at a certain point, pull out the snow blower and save yourself the pain.
