This is a very well made chess set. The pieces are carved with wonderful detail and the box/board is truly crafted by a professional. Especially when you consider the cost, this item is something not to be missed. It is a terrific set up for personal use and would make a stunning gift to a chess player of any level.

Bought this chess set for my husband for birthday. He absolutely loved it! The quality is stunning and looks even more expensive than it is. Will make a beautiful addition to our basement game room.

I'm quite happy with this chess set, and it's definitely going to find a place in my ever-growing collection. The craftsmanship on both the board and the pieces is simple but elegant, and you'll certainly find nothing to complain about there. In terms of size, this set exists in a kind of middle area between a home chess set and a travel set. The board and pieces are a little on the small side for a home set, but the reversible drawer design offers large, portable storage space which makes the whole thing a little large for travel purposes. However, don't let that turn you off. Personally, I'm actually fond of the larger-than-average size for a travel board, because as long as you have the space in your car or suitcase, the larger size makes it much easier to play a good game. Whether you're just learning the game or whether you're a lifelong chess enthusiast like me, you won't be disappointed by this set.

This is absolutely a premium quality chess set. I wasn’t expecting such quality before I ordered it. It came with a beautiful gift packing when you hold it in your hand you feel you got something special. The board looks beautiful, the color is really nice and the wood feels high quality. Overall this is a premium quality chess set that would make an excellent gift for anybody who is into chess.

I haven't played chess since the sixties...so I have a whole lot to re-learn. The chess set that I had back then was a cardboard, folding style board with small plastic chess pieces. This chess set looks so nice, that I am planning on getting a small top (bar style) table, that I can leave the whole set out for days (or even weeks if needed) without having to ever put it away.

This is a nice, quality wooden chess set. It has really nice finishes so it looks good sitting on the coffee table at home too. It is well made and the inlay wood is very smooth and shiny. The storage Space are nice to keep the pieces all secured. It arrives in a nice box, so it would make a good gift too.

It teaches strategy and so much more. I liked that this had storage. I like when my kids play games because it so much better than staring at a screen. This was a very fun game for my kids. They really enjoyed it. It kept their interest. I really like that it gets them playing with others. It is great for them to play with each other or with us. We like to have family game nights.

My son asked for a high end chess set and I found this after numerous failed attempts in stores. This is a beautiful set. I'm tempted to get one for myself
