These are better than most store bought cages. However, I wouldn't use these for indeterminate tomatoes because they aren't strong enough or big enough. Maybe a smaller determinant, patio type tomato plant. They're perfect for lighter, smaller plants like peppers. I used bolt cutters to cut off one bottom section making the 24 inches high which is a good height for most pepper plants. Having to put the cages together by crimping the sturdy metal on every cage section was tedious and hard on my aged, arthritic hands. I think the seller should seriously consider putting these cages all the way together and shipping them folded flat in a wider box.
