I just got it mounted on my workbench after building the bench 1st. It was relatively easy to mount as long as your bench isn't built crazy. I've only had a couple of opportunities to use it but it works fine so far. I will say that the fore jaw needs to be a sturdy material maybe oak or maple to retain its form better.

Vice is a great value and does what needs to be done. Only issue I had was with no instructions as others have mentioned. This would save you time on install. For all those who buy - know that the holes for two rods and screw drive all need to be big enough with room to pass them straight through the hole. I there is a small space on the guide poles and I thought these were where the wood was supposed to fit - honestly I was just not thinking as that space ones only 1/2 inch and the whole time I was like this is not going to be a sturdy Vice with only 1/2” piece of wood. But was in a groove and now need to replace that piece with thicker piece. Vice itself is solid though

Great vise. Installed easy. Great addition to my new shop.

This is a solid, well engineered product. The only thing I don’t like is that the back mounting plate is secured horizontally, whereas the front plate secures vertically.Better design would include vertical mounting holes for the backplate too.

This did not come with a handle for cranking. You will need to build one other then that I think it’s a great addition to the wood shop I use it daily
