lightweight
This is perfect for keeping sparks and embers inside my rock firepit as the openings are a tight 1/4" which is what I bought it for but I wouldn't use it for cooking, especially with cast iron. It's just too lightweight and subject to warping. A light pot, pan. or coffee heated on the corners would work fine.
