Does this chair work going down the stairs as well as an evacuation device? Most of the info seems to refer to it as a climbing chair. Does the electrical function also assist going down?
Spouse was involved in an accident and wasn't able to put any weight on her left leg. We have a 4 level house and this has made it possible to quickly get her up and down the stairs.
The product is good but would like to see more operational instructions related to moving patients up and down stairs. The device seems to require a large landing when transporting up stairs.
The treads work well and the device seems well made.
The chair worked great helping my family member up and down the steps but after 1 month of use the battery wouldn't hold a charge anymore. I sent en email to customer service a few days ago but haven't heard back.
