Does this hand truck have to be plugged in or does is come with a rechargeable battery? Im assuming its a battery since the motor is 24v DC but i'd just like some clarification on this before committing to buying this please.
The product is equipped with a lithium battery. When the lithium battery shows low power, it needs to be charged. It is equipped with a charger, and the charger is connected to household electricity.
Please make sure that the carpet is fixed to the steps with nails or other fixing methods and will not slide before using this product. If the carpet is just laid flat on the steps without any fixing, it is recommended not to use it in this case.

The product is good but would like to see more operational instructions related to moving patients up and down stairs. The device seems to require a large landing when transporting up stairs.
The treads work well and the device seems well made.
The chair worked great helping my family member up and down the steps but after 1 month of use the battery wouldn't hold a charge anymore. I sent en email to customer service a few days ago but haven't heard back.
