I'm not someone what uses these very often, but have pulled quite a few people of parking lots at the local ski mountains. This one is very nice in that you have the flexibility to attach it with the shackle vertically or horizontally, having the shackle be removable, and a nice coat of red paint! I am not sure the rubber protector will last more then a few times of pulling someone out, but it's easy enough to remove that if you're looking at a tough pull, you can take it off and avoid damaging it. As a heads up though, if you have GM truck with the Multi-Pro tailgate, you can't leave this in without risking dinging/scratching your tailgate as this sticks out too far.
